Where did the rumor come from about Nordstrom buying out e.l.f.?
I’ve been an e.l.f. fan for several months now, but the way I heard about them seems to have been a rumor. I received a forwarded email that said Nordstrom was buying out e.l.f. cosmetics and was selling everything with the elf name for $1 so they could repackage it with Nordstrom’s name (or something to that effect).
I’m now a regular e.l.f. customer, and buy most items for $1, and a few I spend a little more on. Nowhere on their site do they talk about closing, or being bought out. I’m glad about this, but curious where it came from?
There’s no way to know who started the rumor unless the person comes forward. Also, there was another rumor that said Bloomingdales was buying E.L.F. These are both high-end stores that would lose their reputation if they started selling low-end products that were repackaged.
